With Polygon’s support, we will integrate exclusive workshops, keynotes, and branded merchandise to showcase Polygon as the go-to blockchain for women entering Web3. In addition to Web3 topics, the event will cover AI, regulations, DeFi, and public policy, aligning the content with the current priorities of the blockchain ecosystem.
-Date: March 8th

Previous Activities
MEC has a wide presence in several IRL and online events. Showcasing the importance of building the future around Web3, the organization remains connected to the community by attending key events and meetups of LATAM Ecosystem.
It’s good to mention that MEC created several significant connections with universities and educational institutes in Argentina.
MEC was present in Red EDUCA for the Foro Mundial de Inteligencia Artificial, Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Universidad Católica Argentina, and Centro Universitario de Vicente Lopez, among others.
MEC has already received several invitations from institutions like UADE (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa), once again from Centro Universitario de Vicente López, and for the first time, an invitation from Chile to go to Universidad San Sebastián which represents a huge opportunity to spread the word about what we have been working on.

Our Experience in 2024

Events Held:
- 30 Virtual Events:
- 4 collaborations with universities.
- 26 MEC Talks covering key topics in Web3, blockchain, and female leadership.
- 20 In-Person Events:
- 12 organized by MEC, including workshops, side-events, and commemorative events.

What problem are we aiming to solve?
Despite the rapid growth of Web3, the gender gap in blockchain remains significant. Women represent only a small fraction of blockchain developers, founders, and investors.
-Teams with both male and female representation stand at just 10%.
-13% of Web3 founding teams include a woman, and only 3% have a team composed exclusively of women.
Mujeres a la Vanguardia is designed to address these challenges by providing:
-Education: Workshops and panels covering blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), among others.
-Networking: Direct connections between attendees, industry leaders, and potential employers to foster career opportunities.
-Visibility: Showcasing successful women in Web3 to inspire and encourage more female participation.
Why now is the right time?
The adoption of Web3 technologies is accelerating, with major institutions and enterprises integrating blockchain solutions. However, the industry cannot reach its full potential without broader participation, particularly from underrepresented groups.
Now is the right time for Mujeres a la Vanguardia because:
- Web3 is still early-stage: Many women have not yet entered the space, making it the perfect moment to educate and onboard them.
- Regulatory clarity is increasing: Countries in Latin America are creating legal frameworks for blockchain, making professional opportunities more attractive.
- The ecosystem is expanding: With an increasing number of dApps, DeFi platforms, SocialFi, and AI Agents, there is a growing demand for talent.
- Market demand for diversity: Companies and protocols are actively seeking diverse teams.
- We have key media partners and institucional supporters: beincrypto, Universidad Nacional de la Plata, Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, Trama ITBA, Mujeres en Derecho, Criptocuriosas, Cryptogirls, Mujeres Creando Futuro, Solow, FILSE, Club Blockchain of Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, UCEMA, Nerdconf, Incubadora UNCUYO, Observatorio de Género de UTN.
- We have key speakers already confirmed:
- Mercedes Etchegoyen on Intelectual Property
- Camila Velasco on AI and entrepeneurship
- Fernanda from Agrotoken
- Florencia Margaria on Public Policies
- Ingrid from UTN
- Lourdes Zuanich from Mujeres en Derecho
- Valeria Moreno from UNLP

How would our partnership with Crecimiento work?
Our partnership would work as follows:
- Crecimiento would provide:
- The event space (hub) for the day (from 14 to 20).
- The TVs installed on the hub for presentations.
- The microphones available at the hub (if considered necessary by both parties).
- MEC would take care of everything else, including:
- Catering
- Logistics and organization of the space on the event day, including accommodating the mobiliary on the hub, projecting the presentations and assisting the catering.
- Reception and registration of attendees
- Event coverage and promotion with FAM audiovisuales
- Coordination of speakers and panelists
In addition, Crecimiento would be recognized as an official sponsor of the event, with visibility in all promotional materials and during the event itself.
We believe this collaboration would be mutually beneficial and a great opportunity to bring the community together while highlighting Crecimiento as a key partner in supporting women in the crypto and blockchain space.
Please let us know your thoughts, and we would be happy to discuss this further.
MEC Team.
